Passion Pit with special guest Tokyo Police Club and Brahms
Doors: 6pm, Show: 7:30pm / All Ages
Redemption. Paranoia. Guilt. And brief glimpses of a better tomorrow, all cloaked in pop hooks that truly help the medicine go down. This is the essence of Passion Pit.
With the release of their first proper full-length, Manners, Passion Pit unleashed an irresistible, filler-free glimpse into the mind of a man who’d like to create his very own Pet Sounds someday. Frontman Michael Angelakos puts his carefully-sculpted songwriting on display with a mix of kaleidoscopic soundscapes and ambitious tracks: the speaker-panning synths and slightly sinister children’s chorus (straight outta P.S. 22 in NYC) of “Little Secrets” and “The Reeling,” the lead dulcimer loops and melancholic melodies of “Moth’s Wings,” the ecstatic, and the riled-up climax of “Folds in Your Hands.”
The group is set to re-release Manners Deluxe Edition, on April 13, which will feature new artwork and exclusive bonus tracks including stripped down versions of "Sleepyhead" and "Moths Wings" and Cranberries cover "Dreams."
