In celebration of the Mann Center’s 30th Anniversary, we are renewing a past tradition with the return of Picnic Competitions. Please join us on two very special evenings where you can let your imagination run wild! Judging is based on presentation only so pick a space on the lawn and put on a display for the judges according to the selected theme - the sky’s the limit. How creatively the picnic is presented, the accompanying decorations or even costumes worn will be used to select the winners. Great prizes will be awarded in various categories.

Thursday, June 22
The Philadelphia Orchestra with Rossen Milanov, conductor and Hillary Hahn, violin will perform Beethoven’s 6th Under the Stars and the Music of Fantasia so it is only fitting that our theme is Fantastic Stars.

Friday, July 14
Bugs Bunny is back as The Philadelphia Orchestra with George Daugherty, conductor present Bugs Bunny on Broadway. What will you create for tonight’s Best of Broadway theme?

Gates open at 6:00 pm each night so plan to arrive early to set-up. Registration will be held in the PECO Plaza and near the Top-of-the-Hill Gate, judging will take place from 7:00 – 7:30 pm.
